10 European Countries where we can Travel with the COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate in the summer of 2021
The COVID vaccine is starting to become the holiday ticket. Many countries whose economies are largely based on tourism have announced that their borders will be open to immunised tourist. Greece, Iceland, the Azores and Madeira are just a few of the destinations that already receive vaccinated tourists, without the need for a PCR test.
Let's take a closer look at which are the countries that are opened only with a vaccination certificate and what are the travel conditions:
1. Greece
Greece is one of the main destinations that europeans opt for when it comes to summer vacation. People who has at least 14 days since the second dose of vaccine can travel to the Greek state without a quarantine or PCR test. The summer season will officially open on May 14.
2. Croatia
Croatia imposes the same conditions as Greece does: if 14 days have past since the second dose of vaccine, you can travel without restrictions.
3. Montenegro
Some countries, such as Montenegro are slightly more permissive and are open even if the second dose of vaccine was given 7 days before entering the country.
4. Portugal
Tourists in love with the Portuguese islands are receiving a very good news. Those arriving in the Azores and Madeira can present a vaccination certificate against COVID-19 and can enter the country without any issues. The Azores are the first archipelago in the world to have a fully vaccinated population.
5. Slovakia
Slovakia has also opened its borders for vaccinated citizens for at least 2 weeks with a vaccine such as Pfizer or Moderna, or for at least one month with AstraZeneca vaccine.
6. Iceland
Iceland has announced since 18th March that it allows all tourists with a vaccination passport to visit the country.
7. Georgia
Tourists arriving in Georgia have the same benefits as above. The country has been declared the safest destination since the summer of 2020.
8. Cyprus
Other states as Cyprus are making final preparations to receive vaccine-based tourists. Cyprus will accept vaccinated tourists by summer, most likely after 1st May, if the tourists have both doses of the vaccine.
9. Spain
Spain also intends to set up a system for receiving foreign tourists on the basis of a vaccination passport by June.
10. Germany
Germany is considering several benefits for fully vaccinated people.
